Overview
Using the Institute for Security Studies’ (ISS) African Futures platform, this conference will consider:
- Africa’s current development trajectory and key indicators of progress in a business as usual forecast to 2043.
- Africa’s development potential under the African Union’s (AU) Agenda 2063 that combines the impact of various sectoral scenarios in an ideal, Sustainable World, future.
- The impact of global developments on the future of Africa in four scenarios: a Sustainable World, a Divided World, a World at War and a Growth World.
This event is co-hosted by the Institute for Security Studies (ISS), Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) South Africa, and AUDA-NEPAD.
