Overview
Despite its minimal contribution to global carbon emissions, Africa faces a critical crossroads. As the continent’s population booms in the next 30 years, so will its energy demand and consequent carbon emissions from fossil fuels. What would Africa’s trajectory look like if more sustainable energy policies and strategies were adopted?
This seminar examines Africa’s climate and energy futures, shedding light on various strategies and challenges, including the consequences of a global carbon tax and aggressive energy policies and the transformative effects of transitioning to sustainable practices.
