Overview
Education can have a transformative impact on African economies and societies, but it is slow-moving. The seminar will first describe the current context of education in Africa and its expected trajectory to 2043, and then present an Education scenario that targets every level of the formal education flow and shows the potential of education as a development accelerator and how improving both the level and quality of education can impact the continent’s development trajectory to 2043, translating into increased GDP per capita and declining poverty levels.
This seminar is co-hosted by AUDA-NEPAD and the Institute for Security Studies (ISS).
